II) INTRODUCTION

Now that we’re past all the boring stuff…

Hello, fellow Kingdom Hearts fans!  This is my first guide so I’m sorry if it sucks.  I made it because I got tired of looking for all the stuff I needed and was not able to find.  I also added some junk that wasn’t necessary but was just for fun. ( Such as the Moogle shop names. )  I also don’t know how to do the shortcut thingy so you actually have to scroll through the whole thing to get to what you want. I came up with most of this stuff on my own and the stuff I didn’t is copied verbatim from the game.  Oh, and by the way, I’m sorry about all the commentary, charts, and color coding but it makes it easier and more fun to read.  I’m not really great at this stuff, so here goes nothing…

Random Note: This guide was created while listening to the Basshunter CD Lol. d-_-b

III) COMPLETION RECORD

6/13/08 Guide Started!!!  And mostly completed, including: entire Legal section, Introduction, Controls, Synthesis Ingredients, Moogle Shops, Reaction Commands, Combo Attacks, Maps, Keyblades, and Sephiroth Guide.  Started FAQ.

6/14/08 Rearranged a bunch of junk.  Added Mythril Conversion Chart, Missions and Minigames, and Organization Members.  Scrapped attempts at Abilities and Ansem Reports.  Added to FAQ.  Added LOTS of commentary.

6/22/08  Edited a bunch of typos and added a bit more commentary.

IV) WALKTHROUGH

It’s not actually a walkthrough but that is the best name I could come up with.  “Random Junk About the Game” may have been better. Oh, well.

i) Controls

Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking. Why did I put this in here?  Well, that’s simple.  I put it here for all the noobs who don’t know how to work the game that they’ve been playing long enough to learn that it’s not as easy as they thought and now have to go look online for the cheats.  That or they are like me and lost the book.

Symbol Key

X = Duh, the X button! ( It’s not Cross, it’s X.)

/_ = The Triangle Button. ( I know it looks weird, but it’s so much shorter than typing out Triangle.)

 = The Square Button, of course!

O =  The Circle Button.  Isn’t this kind of self-explanatory?

L1 Button:

Opens and closes the shortcut command.

L2 Button:

While pressed, the right analog stick switches from camera control to command             control ( same as the directional buttons ).  Press X to confirm.

R1 Button:

Engages/disengages target lock.  To switch targets, hold down the R2 button and           use the right analog stick while still locked on.

R2 Button:

If the  Field Camera is set to Auto under Settings, pressing this will freeze the     camera.  ( If the Field Camera is set to Manual, pressing this will set the mode to      Auto.)

Directional Buttons:

Moves the cursor on the screen and changes command selections.

Left Analog Stick:

Moves Sora ( or the currently active character).  (If you haven’t figured this out yet, you need professional help.)

Right Analog Stick:

Rotates the Camera. Changes commands when the R2 button is pressed.

START Button:

On the field: Opens and closes the main menu.

In Battle: Pauses the game. Allows you to check your mission objectives during             mission battles.

Cutscenes: Pauses the scene and gives the opportunity to skip the scene.

SELECT Button:

            Toggles first person perspective.

X Button:

Confirms a selection in the menu.

            Attacks during game play.

Can be used as a shortcut command.

/_ Button:

            Activates a Reaction Command.

Can be used as a shortcut command.

 Button:

            Uses and equipped ability.

Can be used as a shortcut command.

O Button:

Cancel/Jump/Let go of a ledge/Use an equipped ability.

Can be used as a shortcut command.

a) Where to Find Them

Here is a list of all the synthesis ingredients and where to find them.  This is an accumulation of a bunch of different walkthroughs that I found online.  ( It took me FOREVER to find them all!)  These are the ones that were on all (or most) of them.  I don’t know if I missed any, but I’m sure I did.  Oh, well.  E-mail me if you have any others.
